This week has been...

a doozy.

To keep perspective I want to focus on the good things. And I am a list writer, so what you get is my list of thankfulness for today:

1. Medicine to keep me feeling well
2. Doctor's who know what they are doing
3. Sunshine and blooming paper-whites
4. Safe, warm home
5. sweet, sweet family
6. kind and supportive friends
7. a job
8. lavender lotion
9. Arby's mozzarella cheese sticks
10. Hope for tomorrow.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

  1. I love that regardless of what is going on you are trying to focus on the positive things that God shows you. Such a testament of faith and an encouragement for me to do the same.

  2. Thanks Alissa! it's been really hard to focus this week, but a friend is always telling me that if you speak truth you are more likely to believe it.
